Arrive at New Mal Station and transfer to Murti. Set beside the scenic Murti River, this peaceful destination is popular for camping and wildlife encounters. Keep an eye out for elephants, Indian bison, deer, and occasionally the one-horned rhinoceros near the river. The area is also excellent for birdwatching. Overnight stay in Murti.
After breakfast, head out for a full-day excursion towards Jhalong and Bindu. Discover Jhalong’s riverside setting near the Indo-Bhutan border before continuing to Bindu, known for its picturesque valley and cardamom plantations. Explore Saming and Suntalekhola, followed by the scenic Murti River area. Return for an overnight stay in Lataguri.
After breakfast, check out and travel towards Jaldapara. Known for its rich wildlife and remarkable birdlife, Jaldapara is a rewarding destination for nature enthusiasts. The sanctuary is particularly known for sightings of the Bengal florican, along with species such as crested eagles and Pallas’s fish eagles. Overnight stay in Jaldapara.
After breakfast, check out and continue towards Madarihat Station with local sightseeing along the way. Explore Rajabhatkhawa, followed by the scenic Jayanti area along the river and the historic Buxa Fort region. Surrounded by forested hills and close to the Bhutan border, Buxa offers a memorable finish to your Dooars experience. Proceed to Madarihat Station for your onward journey.
